The relatives has been divided into subfamilies special largely by way of the costal shape: Homoneurinae Stuckenberg 1971 having a homoneuriform costa (its spinules cease without notice at or simply ahead of the apex of R4 + five) and Lauxaniinae Shewell 1977 with a sapromyziform costa (the spinules cease good ahead of the apex of R4+ 5).
